The Changed Better or Worse: Chapter 6
"Watch your footing," Dusk says as Jason falls backwards over his shadow.
"Hey, that's cheating," Jason looks up from the floor breathing heavily.
"All's fair in love and war, your opponent might be trying to kill you and will do anything to achieve that."
Jason gets back on his feet and looks over at Cosmicea running from small ice golems made by Nate. Just beyond them Aria and Axynn are talking while sitting on some crates.
"Let's start again, the two most important areas to protect are your head and your chest. Even against opponents who don't have any powers this is key, a normal person can kill you if they hit y

Jason sits next to Aria and places his tray loaded with bacon and eggs on the table, "morning everyone."
Axynn, Nate and Dan all wave except Cosmicea who is looking disgustingly at her tray of eggs and bacon, as everyone idly chats Cosmicea goes back to the line. "Could I get something that isn't meat?" She asks one of the servers who picks up a small plate of potato slices.
"Home fries, only thing we have now that isn't meat related," he says.
"I can make it work, thank you," Cosmicea says as she turns and walks back to the table where Jason is finishing the last of his eggs. "Wow metalhead, did you even taste those or just inhal

The Changed Better or Worse: Chapter 4
Jason wakes and looks around the dimly lit boys dorm, rubbing his eyes he notices Nate and another boy about 6 years old are sprawled out on his bed fast asleep. He worms his way out of bed trying not to wake either of them, he goes to the bathroom and comes out looking around the now empty underground dome.
At first glance, it looks like a normal makeshift base but looking closer the computers and medical equipment are very advanced. Typing random keys the screen lights up showing a raised fist with the words 'Born During Tragedy, Living To Repair' surround it. "What are you doing in here," someone says behind Jason. He whips around

Jason wakes and goes to rub his eyes but the throbbing pain stops him and he finds his arm in a sling. Looking around still groggy and confused he sees the clean white walls of his hospital room, and remembers what happened. As he sits there shaking the heart rate monitor spikes and a nurse comes in and calms him down, a few minutes later a doctor arrives with Jason's mother.
"How is the pain in your shoulder?" The doctor asks.
Jason tenderly presses on the area he was shot and gags as he feels a deep indent under the bandages. "I-It stings a bit but it just feels gross."
The doctor writes on his clipboard and speaks to Jason's

The Changed Better or Worse: Chapter 2
The inside of an interrogation room, a woman of about 25 examines the two way mirror. She bangs in the glass while screaming obscenities until a gruff old cop comes in and motions her to sit down. She slowly makes her way to the table, not taking her eyes off the cop, and sits in the chair farthest from the door. The cop pulls out a folder from under his arm, opens it and says "name."
"Cosmicea."
"Name," he says a little more commanding.
Cosmicea scoffs, "Cosmicea, again"
The cop takes off his glasses and looks at her, "you do realize I can keep you in this room until you're old and grey Ms." He looks at the fo

The sun shines through the slats of a shade illuminating the ten by twelve foot room. Next to the bed the alarm clock begins its morning routine with the low hum of a local radio station, the only occupant in the room turning over and covering themselves with a blanket. With a loud crash the door opens and a portly middle aged woman walks into the room and trows a rolled up newspaper at the bed hitting a reluctant early 20's young man.
"Get up you lazy sack of bones," the woman said slightly annoyed, "no son of mine will be late for their first day of their new job. I'm cleaning breakfast up in ten minutes, if your not down th
